About the Belmont Business Association

The Belmont Business Association Inc. The Belmont Business Association (BBA) is made up of representatives of the businesses and landlords of the Belmont Shopping centre and business precinct. It incorporates any business that trades in the suburb of Belmont including High Street and surrounds. The aim of the Belmont Business Association is to provide benefits to members and to the Belmont Shopping area. We aim to assist and promote the successful conduct of business, and identify and address the needs and concerns of our members. What do we do? Represent local Belmont Business in a wide range of activities including:-

  1. Liaison and negotiation at local government level with the City of Greater Geelong. This may facilitate the identification of needs and development of facilities of the Belmont Shopping Centre eg: issues such as street furniture, maintenance of street paving, street lighting, parking, rubbish and cigarette management.
  2. Liaison and Networking with other business associations eg: Geelong Chamber of Commerce, Geelong Otway Tourism Authority.
  3. Promotion of Belmont as a preferred location for shopping and business eg: advertising projects. Members are able to participate in subsidised ventures at very affordable costs.
  4. Training seminars for business owners and staff eg: procedures for dealing with theft, difficult customers etc.

ALL members are welcome to attend quarterly meetings of the BBA Committee, plus any special meetings scheduled as required Executive Committee for 2013/2014
